You can't say the banks in such a general way, that's too general. There are people in every profession who are criminals.
That's why we invented laws and the rule of law with its courts and the police.

There is a caste of managers in every large company, some of whom are criminals, who enrich themselves at the expense of the company and the users. Fear is also constantly being stoked and people who are afraid buy products from the security industry to feel safer.

What can be done about it? Educate people, find out the truth, educate themselves and above all believe little and remain critical and think for themselves. Everyone is allowed to think. Many are spared it

There are installations of win 11 where you can install it without any bloat, including defender.

 

when i say "Banks", I am talking about the banking system and the entities that own, regulate and control them. The boards, the Corporate officers, their policies. Little Timmy the bank teller isn't like to do much but miscount your change every now and then.

but getting back to plugins...

and windows 11 (though really 10, since they skipped windows 9 altogether ...)

are their any plugins that only run in windows 11, ie won't run in windows 7?
so far the only ones I've seen are AI plugins that require windows 11.. I'm thinking about a plugin maybe serrato or somebody made that deconstructed songs back into stems...

thats the only one I've seen so far...

im sure many can remember , but from my memory only 1 member was going the 8.1 route cause 8 was unusable....since when there are OS X,1 versions made thats why it was

I think someone has been lurking in our threads.. I just saw this on Reddit.

 

Would be fine if it ended there. Many A/V/M apps have definitions in their updates (usually from the larger dev corps who can afford to have special def's deployed) to seek & destroy cracked or pirated copies of their clients' wares. If left unchecked you could find after a while that certain apps have quietly been either erased, or rendered inoperative as a result. This has been an "alternative use" of autonomous real-time scanning A/V/M apps by the industry ever since their inception decades ago...

Apparently mickeysoft has some sort of psychological aversion to the number "nine"....

 

Plausible theory I've heard is that some old applications checked to see if it was running on Windows 95 or 98 by checking for "Windows 9! Because 9 is associated with 9x. Windows 95, 98, 98se, ME. To heed the confusion 9 was probably skipped on purpose

Windows 8 was unpopular Windows 8 was a (bad) mix of mobile and desktop. Many users missed the classic start menu. It is possible that Microsoft wanted to differentiate Windows 10 from Windows 8 and therefore called its new operating system Windows 10. This is a variant that is most reminiscent of the official explanation given by Microsoft above.
