I have some issues with Keyscape on my Mac, When I load Keyscape vst in Ableton, the sounds are showing (no Steam folder problems) but as soon as I try a sound, one or sometimes two messages appears : "Requested file is not a sample file..." and then the Finder path and the .wav file. Pretty weird but as soon as it leaves, I can sometimes play the instrument. Even weirder, for the Double Felt Grand Instrument (all its presets) and ONLY for it, no messages appear and I can play it perfectly.

But yeah there is no sound for some instruments like the LA Custom C7 even tho I have the 14.93Gb file on my computer (no external drive) and there is sound for the Clavinet C but I can't find the file in /Keyboards/.

I read online that to make it work, some people just deleted the zmap.index file (I have two of them in User tag and in Keyscape Library so I don't even know which one has to go), put the "Keyboards" folder alone , create a "Multis" Folder...None of these worked for me.



Anyone knows what I'm dealing with ?

Hello @Djraoul, try:

1. Go (to STEAM \ Keyscape \ Soundsources \ Factory \ Keyscape Library) and delete zmap..index
2. Run the plugin and Refresh soundsource browser.

 

Now I have the "no soundsource" message for all the instruments and no sound at all...
My path is User/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics/STEAM... Should I use an external drive instead ?
Also I've notice that my Keyscape Vst is not fully updated and that I don't have the app (it doesn't change anything in my case)
Any ideas ?

 

External drive for the STEAM library, only recommended if you don't have enough hard drive space.
If that doesn't work either, you should completely uninstall and reinstall it.

Delete zmap.index file
If you’re unable to update the SoundSource then make sure to do the following steps:

• First, close the Keyscape or Omnisphere plugin.

Please excuse me, your method only works up to version 2.6.0e, later versions of Omisphere will not restore the deleted file, zmap.index
