Hello

I am wondering if it is worth updating my Kontakt Libraries..What I mean is that I have some Kontakt libraries that on Kontakt 8 don't show the thumbnail but will show up on the old classic view of Kontakt.

I have looked at which libraries these are and then looked for them on the sister site, for example. I have MM-Bass 1.0.0 and on the sister site there is 1.1.0 that was from 2019

Now considering it is 2024, is it worth downloading to update the library, or would Kontakt 8 still show a missing thumbnail?

I just want to know before I start as I don't want to get the updates and then find out it still doesn't show the thumbnails

Is there a problem running both K6, 7, and 8 in some combination, even in the same new DAW projects? If there is a way of continuing to run older libraries in an older Kontakt instance separately, there is no chance I am going to re-download full library sized updates of anything. No way. Small updates, no problem.

 

i dont think updating the libraries solves the problem when it comes to not showing up in the default view,whereas they do show up in classic view..for them to show up they need the SMT png files ,which are stored on c /users /public /public documents /NI resources/image
