Just in case anyone wondering.

I installed Arturia - V Collection X v10. 2. 2 (R2R) and then:
Arturia - Sound Banks Bundle 2024.8 CE.

Now I have 51286 presets that for the first time ever are all working well without missing sample errors.
Previously I only installed the V.R. collection.

Note:
1. After installing the R2R collection, cut the Data folder (C:\ProgramData\Arturia) somewhere else.
2. After installing the V.R. soundbanks, Copy and merge the R2R Data Folder back to C:\ProgramData\Arturia.
3. This manual copy will detect something like 9.000 duplicate files that you don't want to have.

** before installing the soundbanks, I installed Arturia FX Collection 2024.6 CE.
That always worked fine. Nothing to worry about presets or anything.

I installed latest Arturia V Collection R2R from 2024.09.25, then ASCEMU2 v1.3.0, then latest R2R Soundbanks from few days ago on top of it. The additional Soundbanks do *not* show up even that they have been properly copied to C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Presets\...

Any idea what might be wrong?

This is exactly the way I've always liked to do it. You end up with the best of both worlds. The best version of the software combined with the biggest collection of sounds.

 

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything from scratch following your instructions but I don't have 51286 presets and I have missing samples like "undercut" preset in analog lab for example. Can you (or anyone who has a clue) do a detailed guide on how to install this mf Arturias?

 

Install the latest updated plugins and read the included NFO with the installation instructions. Have you already installed this?

We also updated ACSEMU2 to v1.3.0 this time, which fixes the issue when the plugin asks toooo many presets authorization at once. If you had problem with AnalogLab, the update would fix the problem!

 

HI, of course I installed the latest updated plugins and read included NFO.

How many presets do you have showing in Analog Lab? Do you have missing samples in "undercut" preset in Analog Lab? (this is one that it's missing samples for me).

Please someone do an: how to install Arturia collections without missing samples (if you're able and you are sure you don't have missing samples and have at least 45k+ presets (this is the number I had when I installed V.R 2024/5 version)

Before trying to update I had 45k+ presets and 15k+ if clicking the "user" switch in Analog Lab. Now I have 42k+ and 7k+, so something gone wrong but I don't know why. I never installed any third party preset myself, only stuff from V.R and only now I tried R2R/V.R combo following this post

Do all your Arturia VST Plugins work OK? I had a few problems with the C: ProgramData folder like Arturia VSTi Plugins not loading, dragging Toontrack midi within DAW and Waves Plugins not showing in DAW... One way is to run DAW as Admin but I don't like doing that so I go to ProgramData Folder then 'Take Ownership' of the Arturia Folder or you can go to Arturia Folder right click Properties, Click Security Tab and click Edit... then Add... type 'everyone' and click [Check Names] and OK and tick Full Control and Modify in Allow column

 

Please note that you'll have to close your Arturia software instrument/effect, whether it's open as a standalone or in a DAW, before proceeding with the deletion of the db.db3 file.

On Windows, you should find the db.db3 file following this path: C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Presets

Considering that this is a hidden folder, in case you wouldn't have for now enabled the display of hidden folders, please make sure to:

• Go to the File explorer,
• Open the Display menu,
• And then, check the Show hidden folders option.

Alternatively, you should also be able to directly copy/paste the path indicated above in your Windows File browser address bar.

Once the db.db3 file is deleted, the preset list should update on the next software opening

Hi, thanks for your answer but unfortunately I already did erase the database and I know that I have to do it with Arturia vstis/vsts closed.

I also know where to locate programdata folder, I'm 38 yo and it's 20 years that I mess with computers and install softwares. I say this just to give you a context but I appreciate your answers.

The last time that I updated Arturia vsts (V.R version) in June 2024 I already encountered this problem and it took me a while to have 45k+ presets and 15k plus user presets (the number that is shown in Analog Lab when you click on the "user" switch).

First time that I updated, reinstalling from scratch and deleting all the leftover folders in programdata/programfiles/x86/registry etc..., I could "only" see like 30k circa presets and deleting and rebuilding the database did nothing, then I did reinstall everything from scratch in some order that I can't remember and it went well with Analog Lab showing me 45k plus presets.

There has to be a correct way of installing all of this and I did it but unfortunately I can't remember how.

Maybe Analog Lab installation goes first and then V collection and then soundbanks but if trying to install R2R version with V.R soundbanks (or with R2R soundbanks also) the problem is that if you install R2R collection Analog Lab will be 5.10.4 version so you can update it to 5.10.6 only AFTER having installed R2R V collection. Maybe the problem resides there?

Can someone that has more than 50k presets (like OP) and more than 15k user presets (like me before updating) show us how they did it?

Can you also try to load the patch named "undercut" and see if it misses samples? It's from soundbank "Miracle" and it misses a .wav named "WT Undercut".

I downloaded that pack from sister site and it has that file but it's not present in the V.R last Soundbank so I want to know if it's just me or it's missing in this V.R soundbank (or maybe in all V.R soundbanks too). I don't care about this preset for any reason other than the fact that we can start from there to understand if it's a V.R problem or my fault in some way when installing.

The most presets that I got combining V.R with R2R last releases (following OP suggestions) is 42k plus, so less than before updating and with 8k circa less "user" presets (7k vs 15k) than before: I'd want to know WHY. Thanks in advance for your attention

 

I do not use Arturia collections as a whole, anymore. But maybe it is worth a mention, to remember some of the nfo comments made about these giant preset collection releases. VR made a comment or two about "other releases" ignoring imperfect presets for some technical reason. I think the term used was "purified" about the presets.

Could mixing these two Teams work be the cause of your problem? Maybe reading those nfo files might shed some light on your problem.

 

No, it doesn't matter in which order you install it.

The "Arturia.Soundbanks.2024-R2R" (16.4 GB) are simply overwritten in the directory --> C:\ProgramData\Arturia\ <--

- Presets = 20811 files (1.61 GB)
- Samples = 14262 files (13.8 GB)
- Shared = 91 files (3.9 MB)

Simply copy & paste over:

C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Presets
C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Samples
C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Shared

Windows then asks if the existing presets should be overwritten? Answer Yes!

This sound bank "Miracle" does not exist!
