This is hate speech and is now even punishable by law.
Be careful that you don't get reported and that the police don't confiscate your PC and other devices one day.

studio one is better than cubase
    1. professional studio one sound (daws dont sound the same haha)
    2. better layout gui
    3. loads faster than cubase
    4. simpler look. (less is more)

the only negative is some plugins make it crash and hang

Just starting to watch the release videos now for Cubase 14. First things that jumped out at me is that they added Modulators and Drum Machine. Have Steinberg forgotten they don't like developing things for electronic music producers?!?!

Seriously though, I am actually looking forward to testing the Modulators out with my MP MIDI Control

modulators are cool, drum machine track looks like a game changer, but what will be truly amazing is the renewed score editor, it is cloned by dorico, so it is like having a PRO score editor/printer in your DAW, and the "display quantize" function is UN-BE-LI-VA-BLE. The score will look like quantized but the midi track will play as it was "humanly recorded". That is something unmatched.

will not write more about it, who knows what I am talking about needs no more words

Hello @Sinus Well, yes, this is happening in our Steinberg Land right now, read it yourself but put on your seatbelt first...

Rules against hate on the internet - the Network Enforcement Act (NetzDG)

The law to improve law enforcement in social networks (Network Enforcement Act - NetzDG) has been in force since 2017.
The law aims to combat hate crime, criminal false news and other criminal content on social network platforms more effectively. This includes, for example, insults, slander, defamation, public incitement to commit crimes, incitement to hatred, depictions of violence and threats. In order to encourage social networks to process complaints more quickly and comprehensively, particularly from users about hate crime and other criminal content, the NetzDG introduced legal compliance rules for social networks.

This includes a legal reporting obligation for social network providers on how they deal with hate crime and other criminal content, requirements for maintaining effective complaints management and for appointing a domestic delivery agent. Violations of these obligations can be punished with fines against the company and those responsible for supervision. In addition, victims of violations of personal rights on the Internet are able to obtain the violators' inventory data from the service providers on the basis of a court order.

No, Studio One is not better than Cubase, it's different.
For more variety and possibilities in the world of music.

I think if your a cubase user then this is a great update, especially the modulators. I think they lost a good chunk of customers to Bitwig recently and it looks like they went in hard on bitwgifying cubase. Trying out this update also reminded me of just how good bitwig is though, Its leagues ahead in modulation and overall workflow. Hopefully a bit of competition will be a good thing in bitwig implementing some of the needed QoL imrovements and features that people have been asking for for a long time too!!

No problem, they are trying to drop it and I understand why but they can't ignore all the third party plugins just yet until they're all vst 3.

I think display quantize was already in Cubase Score 2 on the Atari . But it is good news they upgraded the score editor .

I don't have to, I live in Germany... and I know this subject.

The NetzDG can only be used to prosecute criminal offenses that are regulated in the StGB. Hate speech is not covered by the StGB and is not legally defined anywhere else. It's a campaign term from the left-wing bubble, nothing more. Legally, it doesn't mean anything. They could have written "Razupaltuff" or "Knickknack" there instead, it wouldn't have made any difference. It's just random nonsense.

However, this is about Cubase and German criminal law is irrelevant in this thread.
