So I just tried Avenger for the first time a few days ago and I'm blown away by the sounds especially for EDM, Dubsteb, Techno, Trance, Hardstyle etc. I have the 1.4 version and I have nearly every add-on/expansion. I can't remember if it was cracked or keygened. but I listed the add-ons and expansions. I'm considering purchasing the legit version from VPS so I can have a version 1.8 or higher. I really want to install the expansion pack Sound Mafia vol. 2. However, if I buy the legit version, would the other expansions work with it, or would the Sound Mafia expansion even work with the legit version?

Either or. You have to decide whether to get the cracked version or buy Avenger 2, but then you can no longer use the cracked expansions. I strongly recommend that you leave it as it is and enjoy what you already have. Save your money for things in life that aren't cracked. You already have so many samples, presets, plugins and one song is called "Why don't I get enough"! Use your brain.

I hope I was able to help you a little on your way. As you can see, the manufacturers were very busy in the 15 years that you were gone and flooded the market. Although good plugins and very good sounds are still rare.

All non official Expansion will work. Besides that, it is so much fun to create own patches.

 

have now also bought the new version 2, the GUI is much nicer. I was a little annoyed by the old GUI. Yes, the new factory presets are surprisingly good. I have the impression that version 2 sounds better than the first version. Mr. Keilwerth has really worked very hard to give the synth community one of the best virtual software synthesizers. A modern, high-end product. It's great, @Emma Evi, that you create your own presets. But the money is mainly earned from the expansions, as with reFX Nexus and UVI Falcon, for example.

 

At first glance it seems that cracked packs work in a legit version but you will notice that with several patches you will get an error message because they are recognized as illegal!!

 

Indeed I'm very thankful, oh for sure brother it is a very saturated market with 100s or synths. I only remember maybe 5 lol eveyonenused zeta+, hypersonic and nexus lol.

It looks great and I'm sure its a great factory library but hell you could spend 2k on expansions easy @ $75 a pop.I may purchase it and keep the 1.4 as well, because its stacked with expansions.

 

I still use the plugins you mentioned, I installed a 32 bit DAW specifically to keep and play all the old treasures.

Thats the thing, you could easily spend a couple grand on expansions. It's $249 on pluginboutique then the expanions are $75 a piece so thats a good chuink of change for sure. I wanted to explore that Sound Mafia pack becuse its like 8 gig

 

In my opinion, you can't have both versions side by side. Store bought and cracked versions almost never match.

 

yea thats the same thing with nexus 4 you have to buy and isntall the expansion packs through their cloud app. I have all of em but cant use em lol. However on pluginsforest it's 89 euro which is like 95 US or something which included all the explansions and its a pre registered version 226GB

Ah I see, yea that would probably not mesh with 2 64 bit versions for sure. When I loaded the hardstyle, EDM and dubstep packs I nearly flipped lol I was holy shit this thing amazing. They have such great lead and pads

 

If you're a record producer or film music producer, it's certainly money well spent. Nexus is actually a ROMPLER and only plays samples.

When I was young, I would just listen through a sound bank of 128 presets and save the 2 3 or 4 presets I liked in a separate folder. Now I'm older and if I listen through 128 presets, I'm exhausted. The question is how much time do you have to play music every day? If you have 365 plugins, you can play one plugin a day and then the year is over. In the end, you always have too much and then delete the ones you rarely have because you're drowning in samples, presets and plugins.

Many people have this problem and some respond by stopping downloads, but this is not a permanent solution because the manufacturers invent some good plugins and bring them to market.

You would miss out on the best. The dose makes the poison (Paracelsus). Not too much and not too little - that is an art that hardly anyone has mastered.

 

Some modern new DAW's don't support 32 bit plugins anymore.

 

You absolutely can run VPS Avenger 1.4 and v2.0 together on the same system, same DAW, but there are some caveats to doing it.

The original sister site v1.4 plugin needs to be adjusted, so the displayed plugin name is different from its original name else the updated *.dll will overwrite it as you can only have one plugin named "VPS Avenger".

If you look at the screenshot in the link below the first plugin has a slightly different name, this is the sister site v1.4 with all the associated expansions that were released a good while back.

My legit v2.0 has all my legit purchased expansions, so I use a combination of both depending on what expansion pack I need sounds from, one thing to note is you need to keep the expansions for sister site and the expansions for legit in totally different folders, they can't be in the same folder.

It works like an absolute charm.
