I'm having trouble installing, uninstalling, and starting waves.
I have a lot of questions, but first,

1. How do I delete all the files of waves that I've previously installed?

2. I read the accompanying text, but I don't really understand it.
It says "Login to Waves" and "Load StudioRack," but does that mean I have to create a waves account?


I'm hoping some kind person will be able to explain.

 

I assume you are not talking of legit waves, but please specify which version are you using, which team and SO

judgin from point 2 you are using V.R's which requires an actual account registered on Waves site, so you have to install the Waves Central app (which should be included in the release pack) and then "login to waves" throught the Waves Central app

I deleted it with Revo Uninstaller, but it didn't work, it seems like it didn't delete everything...

 

Delete the following files, some are in a hidden folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves
C:\Users\Public\Waves Audio
C:\ProgramData\Waves Audio
C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Waves Audio

C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
WaveShell1-VST3 15.0_x64.vst3
WaveShell1-VST3 15.2_x64.vst3
WaveShell2-VST3 15.0_x64.vst3

It doesn't work.
To begin with, there is no file in the above location. But when I try to install it, a warning window appears saying "Installation cannot be performed because another version of this product is installed."
damned...why...

 

There are leftover files from the previous installation somewhere, go through the list below carefully, delete those files and then restart your PC and then install the new version. If you don't find a wave file, it has already been deleted.

Scan your hard drive with the term: WaveShell and delete them.

Go to the Registry --> Run --> Regedit and delete the following folder: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Waves

Deep reg cleaning is required to delete VR's version, all 32Node has to be deleted [hopefully that one is enough] I remember doing it by hand ages ago and it took me several minutes of tweaks. But it's successful

However, I can't do it.
I deleted all the files in the above location, but the warning message still appears.

 

Do you have Windows 10? Try installing a V.R version!
