I'm very inexperienced with this community. From what I've heard this is one of the very few seriously trustworthy communities and pages for getting non-infected all things music

But I cannot for the love of god find ANYTHING I want! DAW's or Plugins. I only see endless amounts of cursed preset packs in the software tab. No matter what I search for (really popular plugins for example) I find myself in a disappointed dark valley of guides or tutorials FOR the thing I'm looking for..

Am I just out of luck? Am I doing something wrong?

 

Look at left of the start page you get a menu to choose from. If it doesn't work try another browser.

 

There is a SEARCH option just do a search but remember some of the popular plugins and a few Daw,s is often taken down due to the developer requested it.
So the ones you like may have been taken down and thats why you cant find them however there is literarely tons of plugins that is available.
And no there is no presets in the software tab you must have looked in the main tab. But sometimes you must go thrue 2-3 pages and maybe even more before you find a plugin or other stuff.
Thats why you have an options to the left of the site so if you click software and then choose win or mac it will show software not presets or tutorial or samples.

If you searched for something you can click on advanced search right below the search field. If you're looking for software select Windows or Mac OSX below Software and hit Enter on your keyboard and you shouldn't see anything else than the software.

 

And if your search does not find valid results, it tells you to use DuckDuckGo search. If you use a good search term in the DuckDuckGo search box, the top results are usually the Comrade Site. Via Duck results, you do not even need a login.

 

You are inexperienced, you are in paradise and can't find your wings...

experiment with search terms or strings, sometimes a vendor name works, sometimes a generic term like "reverb" works. Some companies use strange spelling like "E-MU" not EMU etc.
it is like casting a spell, one must have the syntax exact yet generous in its range to see results.

not that I cast many spells these days after the old wand got ran over by a garbage truck after a liquor filled night..
