Right, and in every case so far where their samples have been used in popular tracks, the value and legitimacy they earn from being able to list that credit on their marketing material is worth more than what they could potentially get from a court case if they found the producer had used their samples without a license.

I appreciate the video recommendation, but TBH, I prolly will just take your word regarding its contents. From basically day one when they were doing IIRC mostly like edm/dubstep one shots, their marketing was clearly getting just as much of their effort as the sounds were, which, i guess I can appreciate from a business perspective, but to me, that kinda feels like a lil red flag. Add their click funnel-style site and manufactured scarcity for major releases, and I have plenty of reasons to be a bit wary of them.

That's why, if the one-in-a-billion situation I was imagining came around and they could cash out, I wouldn't put it past them to use the law to make whatever massive hypothetical sum is worth enough to destroy their brand and business.

You can also land a number 1 hit in the charts with free samples and free plugins. It's "theoretically" very simple. Take a voice that inspires the masses, take a melody that gets you going, take the right tempo and the right drums that get you dancing in the disco! Place your guitar solo so that it fits and play the bass with such devotion that everyone just has to join in.

Oh yes, the Time has to be right and a little luck and magic. Buy a portable audio device and record samples from your surroundings and sample yourself. Turn off your cell phone for a week and go out into nature with your laptop. Don't forget a solar panel to power the laptop.

fo sho , my intention in this thread is just proper labels and disclaimers about free/royality free and stuff , so no newbie get into problems .
...some of them devs act like porn production companys working with law warnings im pretty sure and on top with rightfull claims in the end .
We never hear about cause warez/samplewarez newbs almost never connecting with asex and of course not after problems in that realm .

 

If a company, for example EastWest, hires an entire orchestra and records it in the studio, there are huge costs for staff and rent and of course the sound engineer. If you produce a film for 200 million and Hans Zimmer does the film music, why shouldn't the EastWest company be paid accordingly? If you only use EastWest for private purposes, there are no fees.

We have already agreed on English so that we can actually talk to each other! I recently had someone here who keeps writing HP! Great, what does he mean by HP HP HP... ah HeadPhones, there were a few users here who wrote no full stop at the end of the sentence - long discussions here in the forum. He replied something about SmartPhone. Asex could perhaps be AudioSexPro? Don't be so lazy when it comes to writing.
