Upgrading to Reaper 7 in middle of big project?

    I've been afraid of upgrading to 7 because I am trying to finish a big personal project and I am afraid something will break if I upgrade it. So I've been keeping myself in 6.83 until I am able to get these tracks ready for mastering. Are my fears unfounded?

    Still fine opening projects done in 4.x back in 2015,even with updated plugins.
    6.83 is not too old. You can test and downgrade back to 6.83. Back compatibility is good here

    I didn't experience any issues moving from 6 to 7. But if you're worried, nothing's stopping you from installing 7 as portable in another location. That way you can finish your project(s) in 6 and work on new ones in 7. Uninstall 6 when done with the last old project, repeat for 7 and 8. Reaper is tiny anyway.
