    Hello,
this is one of my favourite songs right now and Im very irritated about the fact, that Im not able to build a similar effect.
At the very End of the song her voice turns into a heavy processed, distorted, organic but still kind of pitch-corrected sound with harmonic overtones. feels more like an Instrument.
I'm really struggling to even find the right words to describe it.

Youtube Link at around 2:58 min

    What I tried so far:
different pedals like screamer, flanger etc. chained into Autotune, and a filter to cut the highs.
With no succes really. If anyone can tell what whichcraft technique this is,
    pleeaaase let me know.

    It drives me crazy.
    Thank you*

It sounds like an effect I used to make with my guitar and amp and pedals: heavy distortion, flanger and standing so close to the speaker you have constant feedback between guitar and speaker.
Moving and turning the guitar would get the different pitches.
Wonderful sound! The fun of it is the it is not under control. You react to what you are hearing.

Sounds to me like 90% of it is spectral effects (UA SpecOps, the MAIM plugin (try first) or something very similar)

zynaptiq Morph? sounds like it could possibly be her vocals morphed with a guitar solo?

    on a unrelated note,
i just clicked to a random part in the video and heard something else incredible to my ears... a very subtle little trick i had to replay a few times just to make sure i heard it. right at 0:38 there's a little spring reverb (i think?) on the snare that made my ears perk up. so simple but i love it! thanks for sharing!

Definitely the kind of thing Adrian Belew would come up with. I think you're on the right track; a heavily processed guitar (possibly eBow) and the basic idea of feedback, modulation (sounds like a Leslie is mixed in) and then rolling all the high end off is correct but coming up with the exact stomps that were used is a million to one shot.

sounds like distortion + filter being triggered by an envelope follower (which is in turn being triggered by something like her voice).
    that's the avenue I'd follow.

The MAIM demo comes surprisingly close. I will definetly look deeper into it.

agree that its a spectral effect. Try Ircam ASAP Spectral Remix and Spectral Clipper, both free.

If not spectral, along with screamers and comb filters, and low pass filters, it seems like its random...vibrato as well?
Would recommend mVibratoMB and put a little internal automation (click on random) through the plugin (not your DAW) and see how that goes also.
