Sylenth1 is dead. Sold my license for 50 bucks. 100 is a way too much, bro! #justsaying

Because I found out no one is buying Sylenth1 anymore. It lost its value badly in the past 3 years!

It's still so good. I bought it rent to own but have to admit I almost never use it. Mainly because the UI is a bit too old-school.

last time I used Sylenth on a production was like in 2012, on their website they are selling it for 139 , they also charge 9.95 for a monthly subscription I think their revenue comes from the illegal copies used by Avicii, Martin Garrix, Aoki, etc... rather than their own sellings. It is so old that we should be on Sylenth5, not saying that is bad, back then was the Serum of the moment and of course you can do a lot still, I loved it! but now I find better alts. Contrary to hardware, software lose value fast. Good luck with the selling

 

With choices like Serum, Spire, and even ANA2, is there even a point in using Sylenth any more? It was only ever any good (for my ears) at more cheesy EDM and trance type stuff, and Spire kills it for that kind of stuff as well as having a ton more versatility in its sound application.

I always thought Sylenth had a veneer of cheesy fakeness to its sound so barely ever used it tbh, and don't feel like I'm missing out either.

 

i like viper sounds just like a virus TI and it can load roms and presets for said synths

 

Fair enough. Maybe I didn't spend enough time with it, but I was far too obsessed with Zeta2+ before the likes of Serum came along

What do you mean "the old version"? I thought the new versions were just minor improvements and UI, which old version do you use?

 

The "old version" is 32 bit.
