I downloaded Sample Modeling - The Sax Brothers it has the most realistic saxophone sound. Started new project then load the The Sax Brothers using Kontakt 5, set the vibrato, expression, dynamic and I played some riffs after that I closed the project. Later when I opened the project the settings in the The Sax Brothers were reset to default. Is it possible to save the settings ?
P.S. I don't have midi controller or any other equipment

You need to write midi CC controller in your piano roll too
    Midi CC 11 = dynamic
    Midi CC 1 = Vibrato
    Etc

Hope someone will explain this more complete
    Cheers

The other way is, after you setting dynamic, vibrato etc, then save ass your patch from the kontakt menu
So, when you wanna to play a long with the sax brother, you could load up your own patch that you save before
    Hope this help

I am an ignorant peon; but I did research for you on the web.

You need to save the entire patch if you want to save your settings. See step-by-step instructions below, written by a genius who lives in France:
1/ You click on Files > save as...
2/ At the right the name of your actual patch will be displayed so you will be afraid to overwrite your original patch with your new setting and I can understand this but this is a ergonomics problem related to Kontakt interface
3/ Click on this name and a new window will open.
4/ Change the name and press save and Rock & Roll.

We are a community here, and I hated to see you dangle for hours without a single reply. You don't need a midi controller. I often write entire scores without one, as did Bach and Mozart since they couldn't afford to buy one?

Oh, this topic reminds me of one of my problems with Sample Modelling "Trumpet & Trombone". I have my midi keyboard hooked up and even a sustain pedal, but it always gives me that FUCKIN' problem about "CC11 midi assignment" and the sound is almost muted untill i draw an automation line on that track... but... how do i'm supposed to play it? Always should i draw an automation line just to rise the expression? Damn... :(

    With apologies in advance:

    Trombone/Sax Conundrum and More:

From the comments section (AudioZ) -- this plus the next section down ought to do it, I hope:

You need to assign the expression controller from your keyboard. The plugs default to CC#11 but you can change to anything. Once you have something controlling that parameter, you'll get sound. Move the mod wheel of the midi keyboard to get sound.
    I had the same problem.

From the Developers Website -- ONE OR MORE INSTRUMENTS AT ONCE:
Each instrument programmed in your sequencer must also have an expression track. Important: these CCs must be of course assigned to the expression (default = CC11).
Now - if you´ve programmed a whole section of instruments together with their expression tracks, it´s sufficient to start the sequence without "initializing" each instrument manually.
If you only need to initialize the instrument, simply start the sequence for a short moment and stop. The CC11 tracks will initialize all of them (provided that your play cursor is playing a spot with some existing expression data).

    NO KEYBOARD (from AudioZ):
So if you don't have a keyboard or expression pedal, you will have to create an event in your sequencer and hit play so The Trumpet detects CC#11 being sent. The CC can be remapped to whatever CC you want though right inside the interface, so it's not the end of the world (you can map it to the mod wheel and move the on-screen wheel).

    Cosmic Approach:
    Forget everything and remember.

    Pandora is Right:
If you use other continuous controllers, then each controller will need its own track (one for every instrument in your project by Sample Modeling), each one filled with data that you either draw or record, if you want to use your DAW for playback or rendering.

Surrender is OK, but NEVER GIVE UP

Before you tried to save your patch, did you activate CC 11 (and other continuous controllers you are using) by using the methods described by me higher up on this page? Well, of course you DIDN'T -- because you don't know how to automate CC11, according to your own words. And maybe that is why your patch won't save. Maybe you need to automate all your continuous controllers -- the CC numbers for your vibrato and expression -- and activate them both before you try to save your patch.

Have you ever used automation clips in FL Studio? Do you know how to automate 3rd party plugins? Link to YouTube Tutorial The link explains how to automate CC in FL for third-party plugins. Begin to watch the movie at 13:57 or so. (And if you find the movie helpful, then maybe you would benefit by obtaining and viewing some tutorials for FL Studio.) Even though I've never used FL Studio, I happen to know about such clips because I did research on the web 15 minutes ago. If your piano roll fails you, then use your automation clips to get the job done right.

Try to save your patch to a different location if other methods fail you; maybe save to a special folder on a different drive, if your computer has more than one drive, that is. If you are using Windows, run all of your programs as an administrator.

If nothing above is helpful to you, then I apologize -- but I say NEVER GIVE UP. Read on at your own risk.

You need to provide more information -- but only if you want more help from ME. I suggest you seek out help from ANYONE other than me. I am just a grouchy old fart who won't accept defeat, but I am willing to help you out if others ignore your questions. My methods for research are excellent, but my overall knowledge is thin. I am an ignorant peon -- with 10 years of college under my belt and more than one degree. Information Age and teaching are two of my specialties. I mostly majored in Party Hardy, and graduated at the top of my class.

No more surprises, eh? You need to give help to get help. Which OS are you using? 64 bit? 32 bit? Is your computer ancient? Are you working as an Administrator with a Windows OS? Are you able to save any patches from other Kontakt libraries? To which drive are you trying to save your patch? Have you tried to save to a different drive? I presume you gave your patch a new name before you tired to save it. Was that new name very short or maybe a little too long? Did you use forbidden characters in the name that you gave to your patch -- symbols such as / ? \ : *.

Which version of Kontakt are you using (and if it is a release, who released it). Yes, I know, Kontakt 5 -- but Kontakt Five Point What????

If your copy of Sax Brothers is a release, then which version is it and who released it?

How hard have you tried to find your answers by searching the Worldwide Web? If you searched for answers elsewhere, which keywords did you use? Please understand that I don't know a lot about Kontakt, FL and Sample Modeling -- but very few 'experts' have taken an interest in your predicament (so far) -- and so I offer to find every answer that you might require, because I know how to do that very well.

If I can find the answers you need, then maybe you would benefit from helpful tips about searching the web by using effective combinations of keywords in your searches. In other words, I'm willing to tell you how I found the answers that you need. And I WILL find all of the answers that you might require, provided they exist, and provided you want the help I offer.

In the time it took you to read my comments (up above), you might have been able to find your answers by doing effective searches?

    UPDATE:
I've waited three days for your reply. I'm guessing you're OK, or maybe you got your answers from a better source than me.
