I used opera for years and loved it for the little things (click tab to go to top, currency conversion on selection, clipping images, upload from clipboard, vpn, etc) and then all of a sudden it would just randomly not load pages. I tried everything to fix it but couldn't, so I reluctantly went to firefox. It's fine for now. I guess opera is more interested in shoving AI into the browser than fixing bugs.

Hello dondada, the Engine is: " Gecko "
Gecko is a browser engine developed by Mozilla. It is used in the Firefox browser, the Thunderbird email client, and many other projects.

depending on what kind of security you're looking for, Tor can be one of the worst choices

Tor hasn't been safe for long time.. every tech gets cracked or fooled as time goes by and processing power keeps getting better, not to forget about the development in AI and machine learning..

The Opera browser has a free VPN, if you really don't want to be tracked use VPN yourself, Tor users are more likely to be the target of all secret services. Ask Edward Snowden, he knows something like that!

So after trying a few, I have to say that Vivaldi is insanely good and blows others out of the water. Fast, super customisable, and built in email client as well as calendar and a task manager etc makes it a single point for everything that I can sync across devices. I love it so far!

Opera is owned by a chinese company, it forces AI features on you, without any option to turn it off, suggestions if you enter anything in your adress bar cant prioritised - it will always push search results first, instead of showing you pages in the suggestions you already visited before - this drove me crazy, along with their AI shit and the sluggish resource hungry new GUI for version 1.0 as they rebranded.
And its just Chromium under all the crap. I dont trust the VPN there ...

I know we only have Firefox and Chromium based browsers now (Safari aswell, but only on macOS) and some smaller independent browsers.

As long as i have my ublock origin, i will keep using vivaldi.

    Firefow with these plugins:
    Ublock to block ads
Sponsorblock to autoskip youtube sponsored part
bitwarden, free password manager, why i recomend that? because i got hacked and the hacker got ALL my passwords either from Edge or Firefox... so yeah don't use default browser passwords managers.
Weboftrus or trust pilot, these allows users to rate and comments website to check if they are safe or not
Windscribe, free vpn that gives you 10gb/month
Tampermonkey with youtube tools, this allows you to download youtube videos, mp3 or screenshot a video, very useful

if someone knows a plugin like AHA music but for Firefox wich is a Shazam plugin but only for Chrome based browser i would be thankful
