    Hi,

I bought a used Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2 and used Komplete Kontrol by Bobdule.
Once the software installation is complete, I come across the settings interface. Every time I want to select Asio, the Windows waiting wheel appears and it crashes.

I'm on the latest firmware. I uninstalled all Native Instrument software (Bobbule source only), reinstalled the MK2 drivers, and nothing works.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

This is a keyboard and no audio interface.

The ASIO driver would be used for the audio interface you are using, as long as it supports ASIO.

Which DAW do you use and which audio interface do you use? Windows 10?

Seems it is internal audio of a laptop, as it reads "AI Noise-Canceling Speaker" in the picture above. You need a proper audio interface to use ASIO drivers.

Hello Romano_the_one, NI also has good, inexpensive audio faces in its program!

With the Komplete Audio 1 and Komplete Audio 2, Native Instruments delivers two rock-solid audio interfaces for (ambitious) beginners, which impress with decent technology and good sound, but also with an extensive software package as a bonus. In terms of price, they are roughly on a par with the competition, such as the Presonus AudioBox USB 96, the Steinberg UR12, Tascam US-2×2, Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2nd Gen, M-Audio M-Track 2x2M or the Mackie Onyx Producer 2×2.

With the extremely large competition in this segment, which often only differs in nuances, the software package may even be the deciding factor in the end. If you don't have to count every cent, you should definitely choose the larger Komplete Audio 2, which is simply the better choice in terms of technology with the plus in terms of the microphone preamps, stereo recording and the symmetrical output.

    KOMPLETE AUDIO 2
Two-channel audio interface – for vocals, guitars and other line signals. With software for composing songs. 89 €

    KOMPLETE AUDIO 6
    6-channel audio interface. Brilliant sound (up to 192 kHz / 24-bit.) 4 analog inputs, 2 digital ins/outs, 2 headphone. €159

    System requirements
    - macOS 12, 13, 14 (latest update)
    - Intel Core i5 or equivalent CPU, Apple M-series processors (native or running Rosetta 2; M1, M1 Pro, M1 Max, M2 only), 4 GB RAM
    - Windows 10 (latest service pack), Intel Core i5 or equivalent CPU, 2 GB RAM
    - USB 2.0 or higher (cable included)
    - Graphics card supporting OpenGL 2.1 and newer
    - 3 GB free memory for MASCHINE Essentials, 1 GB free memory for the rest of the software.

Worth noting that super cheap interfaces have no drivers or really shitty drivers, so you might be better downloading ASIO4ALL and giving it a try. Otherwise, stick with something with decent driver support (I highly recommend Steinberg/Yamaha).

Edit: to elaborate further, an audio interface is NOT a requirement for ASIO. Any Windows PC can run ASIO using ASIO4ALL. Interfaces with really shitty drivers are just as annoying as using ASIO4ALL, if not more sometimes. The pros of buying an interface with good ASIO drivers are reduced latency and some quality of life changes that are hard to explain until you compare ASIO4ALL with a decent driver that works out of the box with no configuration.

RME FF 802 is boring interface, sure the new all-black limited edition looks nice, but to be honest when I had both old UFX and FF802, I sold the FF802 because it lacked digital gain control on everything,
RME ARC is also fairly disappointing, because it supports only few functions, if someone made full control bridge for something like legacy Presonus Faderport, I'd gladly use it
