yea it's bad, but there are workarounds for those who care, such as blocking network interactions via NetLimiter + firewall/dns on network level like PiHole or OPNsense, updates can be paused forever using simple registry entries,
operating system is just a layer between user and software/hardware they use, once official Windows 10 lifecycle is over, devs will no longer support it and will require Windows 11 (just as they dropped Windows 7), and although teams like R2R often bypass older system incompatibility, it's not an option for legit customers

 

When a new operating system is on the horizon, they spread panic by telling you that your computer will catch fire and all kinds of malware will immediately threaten your existence if you do not upgrade immediately . Of course, none of this is true and life goes on exactly as before. Fear can make people do the most amazing things.

In any case, I'm keeping my Windows 10 installation because I simply don't have the desire or time to reinstall all the programs and libraries (which takes forever) just to switch from a 10 to an 11.

 

People still use C64 today, it can be fixed and still works, the same can be done with computers supporting Windows 95/98/2000/XP/Vista/7/8/10/11, there's nothing to worry about, everything can be fixed, and big corporations only scare people to make more money
