This applies to any new tech, and you have the choice to buy or hold out. Things don't always drop significantly. What I always bring it back to is first and foremost, what can you afford to pay, and secondly, remembering that this is an investment, not just in your career if music and audio is your career, but also in your own happiness and wellbeing if tinkering and tech is something that makes you feel happy.....I'd rather pay the extra and have everything just work, rather than getting angry and frustrated trying to find workarounds and freezing things, and spend endless hours trying to resolve issues etc, but that's my personal choice and one I am fortunately able to and prepared to pay a bit extra for. It's not all just a financial transaction, but also a personal wellbeing transaction, and too many people forget this second bit and focus on the money and financial aspect and become paralysed and never make a purchase due to fear of the financial loss. Sometimes you just gotta make the leap
