even if still in its early stages, I encourage everyone to test Creosynth, an open source AME playbook designed to optimize Windows specifically for media creators.

This is the result of a cool discussion (that I had last August) with the open and collaborative author of WinScripts, therefore - for those who are interested in contributing in any way - don't hesitate to open an Issue on its GIT:

That is interesting, can you crap off all the pilot, AI, data collection stuff etc etc too?

 

Not only: it asks user to download and install latest VisualCppRedist AIO for example but it don't apply any "extreme mods" (aka gamers) to the OS.

As stated here it already works pretty well for me.

sorry if my question is stupid. i came here from the other thread you post this link.

My DAW machine is totally offline. I am not worrried about security. I use the PC only to produce music.

I'm gonna do a fresh install today. I was going to use AtlasOs.

Do you think Creosynth is better to my case?

Keep in mind that Atlas is a gaming-oriented custom, so you must try *all* applications/plugins you need before using it for production goals !
If it don't work 100% for your needs, then switch to Creosynth instead.
