Facing a problem here.

To rebuild my Kontakt librarie from scratch I uninstalled and deleted every single Native Instruments file from the system. Including registry entries.

After that I reinstalled the driver for my Audio Control 1. Windows recognizes it, but in Ableton I have an error message saying it couldn´t be activated.

Had serveral runs with uninstalling soundcard and reinstalling but the error message stays.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

Did a Google research, but without luck so far.

 

Rule out Ableton being your problem to troubleshoot. You could reinstall Ableton, and hope it works. But the best way would be using a secondary DAW to check that you have it setup correctly within Windows first. I would install REAPER and leave your Ableton installation alone for now. If two DAWs have the same issue, then you are back to Windows, driver software, or the software for your device. It's unlikely to be your audio interface causing your problem. Kontakt and other NI apps should open normally, even with no audio interface connected.

I´m a bit scared to reinstall Ableton cause of the already tagged devices.

 

Guess it´s not Ableton related.

Interface was working fine in Ableton before and works on Windows too.

 

Found a workaround with Asio 4 all for now.

I someone knows a solution to use NI-asio driver, I´d be thankful anyway.

 

What version of Windows are you using? Last drivers available is version 3.1.0 which are designed to work with Win 7, or 8.1
I currently have my Audio Kontrol 1 working on Win 10 with above driver.
Install driver with admin rights, do not plugin Audio Kontrol until driver is fully installed + the Control Panel & Control Editor v1.7.4, re boot system then plug in Audio Kontrol. Good luck!

Are you talking about the original Audio Kontrol 1 or the newer Audio Komplete Kontrol 1?

 

It´s this one. But I had it running without any problems before.

 

oh ok, I have the OG Audio Kontrol 1, and since they don't make things (or didn't) class compliant, it's a doorstop now despite having been a decent portable interface.... I get things aren't supported forever, and so it goes.... but it's a shame to have the waste I guesss....
