    @Axvap

    also listened to a bunch of skinny puppy, and a lot of their sounds are quite nice, you don't have any other recommendations like that do you?

    There are quite some more, but just with Damage 1 and 2 you will have a handful. Believe me.
    Sorry to intervene as the post was not directed to me. Snarky's Justin Stanton plays classic synths but he will come up with very cool sounds on these. His current set is Nord Stage for the classic piano/keyboard sounds, Moog Little Phatty for bass and leads and Sequential Prophet 5 rev.2. for anything polyphonic synth and some leads/bass too.

    Not sure where the skinny puppy came through as a band and why you went to listen to them :dunno:, I was referring to the one specific sound in the sample library Zero-G skinny puppy industrial. It's an old library and Zero-G had a cross use of samples in their old libraries and when it comes to sample libraries Zero-G Datalife v1-3 is the most classic of the classic ones. An absolute treasure chest that been used for 30+ years by countless producers including the top tier of their time like Daft Punk in 1995, Timbaland in 2000s and Skrillex in 2010-2020 as well as video game designers. The another series of sample libraries that has a cult status is eLab XStatic Goldmine. People don't make such libraries anymore. The only one remaining that occasionally drops a jam like this is Vengeance, but they are Old School as well so it doesn't count:guru:.

    Oh dam. My bad, Skinny Puppy the industrial band from the 80s lol. I could swear i read Snarky Puppy and i thought how does this come to play now as it is so different, but lemme give an answer. Again sorry for misreading. And oh geez what a blast from the past this one. Brings back all 80s industrial to mind. Ministry, Neubauten, Front Line Assembly, Front 242, Nitzer Ebb (also pioneers of techno,) even Throbbing Gristle from the 70s, Sisters of Mercy it all comes back to haunt me hahaha. Thanks for bringing it back. Time for spinning some vinyl.
    All my best.

    is it not a sample of them? just assumed it was, as i searched up zero-g skinny puppy and saw 'zero-g skinned', with the members names.

    i did find the datafiles though!

    shame there aren't many other classic ones, but then again there's a lot to sample now...

    I did see mention of a distorted reality library being good, but all of the downloads are corrupted or something.

    :)

    Go on google and search Comfybox. There is a torrent posted of all those old sample cds from the 90's, in both converted to wav and original formats. They were initially on archive.org but were removed. The torrent is way faster anyway, you can select what you want to download, not the entire 500+gb file if you do not want.
