Hi, this may be a super dumb question but as I only hop into Kontakt every now and again I thought the resident experts here would know the answer

Despite using Bobs amazing "add to library" button some things aren't getting listed in the new view. Its not a big deal as the "Classic View" shows everything. I'm just concerned that that I may well forget that some things only show up in classic view. I create in my spare time, as a hobby, and I may not get into Kontakt for months. So forgetting this fact is quite probable.

I'm on windows 11 and there's only a few things not showing up in the new view. I've deleted the json files and run Kontakt as admin, and also added the libraries as admin as well. Like I said it no big deal, just kind of a puzzle that I'd like to know the answer to.

I'm sure that I'm doing something stupid, or forgotten something obvious.... hopefully someone here can let me know what I'm doing wrong.

I have the same issue on an M3 Macbook Air, using the HCiSO version of Kontakt 8.0.1.

That included a tool called Kontakt Library Utility I used to add libraries, but only a handful showed up in the normal Kontakt 8 view. I thought I did something wrong until I switched over to the Classic view and saw them there.

However, in Classic view, while I can see the libraries, there aren't any instruments below them, so I can't actually load them. It's odd as the .nki files are indeed where they should be, the same as for the libraries that DO show up in the non-Classic view.

 

yeh its super strange, for example Liminal works and plays but isn't listed as an instrument.
I think I'll just go full quick-load, remove the left window completely from my view and stop worrying about what's going on

on the upside: not having to download wallpaper every now and again
on the downside: I'll actually have to put some thought into arranging my folders... although long term maybe not a down side

so maybe a win win
