I think that simply because there are greater issues in the world that we cannot discuss at length more trivial ones is something of a leap. Imagine if we took that to it's logical conclusion - there could only be one topic in the world at any one time.

 

Sometimes, people do not need long explanations, while others need encyclopedias and still don't understand. More than the subject, it is the way of talking and the type of reaction associated with it.

 

I don't mean to sound facetious, and maybe your superior intellect has eclipsed my weak mind, but I have no idea what the heck you are on about.

I didn't see the Temu video, but his authenticity in this apology video made me respect him more rather than less. Takes strength of character to publicly own your shit like that. Not many people would be able to do that. Most people would be defensive or make excuses.

And since he owned it, there's nothing more than needs to be said. It's a learning moment and that's that. Moving on

exactly. saw him recently showcasing this uad ampex plug and he was figuring stuff out as he was showcasing the plug, obviously didn't read the manual prior to the review. didn't really review anything. had some interesting knowdlege about tape machines, but as far as the plugin review went... not too informative. but hey, that same thing can be said about the guy from UAD showcasing the plug where he'd show how it was with and without the plug but most of the times one version had reverb and the other not and often times there was a significant volume difference... that might fly with beginners, but for more seasoned players it's best not to do these kinds of videos.
