What is your chain right now ?

 

Not in any order but I'll have loaded up Aquamarine 5, Ash Ultra, Cranesong Phoenix II, Kiive Audio Tubetizer, Mixwave CA-70s, P42 Climax, P44 Magnum, Schwabe Gold Clip / Orange Clip, Wavesfactory Spectre. Not all go on but just the main ones I use a mix of depending on what drums or sound I'm going for. Only doing rap/hiphop.

 

not just the NLS Busses. Orion replace every plugins and parallels he's using on his drums

 

Tried the demo and sadly .... it actually is pretty good? I just wanted to convince myself that I don't want it. Let's test it further. One thing that i don't like is that you can only EQ stuff louder, not quieter.

 

Although well known, I feel Spectre is quite underrated. I find myself reaching for it, instead of EQ, in many cases.

 

29% cpu usage on my intel i9. very intensive

 

This and God Particle remind me of the really old stereo systems where you chose between individual components or an all in one system. The latter was never better because you were stuck with whatever sound it came with. I'm sure it has uses for many people but I like to make my own decisions, not have the plugin make it for me.

It really is heavy on the CPU, especially when I'm not using just one instance. But I guess CPU optimization patches will come. I also wish there was some kind of manual—at least something to explain what A/B/C vaguely means and how the compressor modes differ.

That said, sometimes tools like this, which aren't very flexible, give me better or more "vibe" results than more surgical tools. However, there needs to be an EQ option to fight against muddiness to make it truly all-in-one.

Hi-pass = the high pass in the Pro-Q3 from his older template
The color = NLS busses from his old template
Harmonics = Rbass from his old template
Compression = Shadow Hills from his old template
Lift = Blackbox from his old template
Harmonic eq = Spectre from his old template
Parallels = his parallels from his old template like transformers 1, transformers 2, louder, etc..

I think Harmonic EQ might be some default frequencies he used to boost with Wavesfactory Spectre.

 

i just like what sounds good. and god particle sounds really good on alot of my projects.

 

And that is the exact reason why anybody should buy or use anything, because they like it. Some want one plugin to do the job while others want more and more control. It's a different choice in sound, not better or worse. Sorry if I was not clearer, though individual plugin tuning with patience will more often produce a better result - because of the ability to tweak everything.

 

Appreciate it, but how do you know? Also, why do they use all the stuff from his "old" template?

Anyway, yesterday it made the drums fit very nicely on a garage track, in fact so well that I'm thinking about spending 80€...

God Particle sometimes works extremely well for me on some tracks, but on others, it messes everything up, and that isn’t even genre-specific.

The Spirit on the other hand didn't convince me, maybe i like other vocal mixing styles.

 

Because all his plugins from cradle audio are based of his template. They are all in one plugins. The God Particle = his Mix Bus and the Orion = his Drum busses. The next plug-in will be for his bass busses and will be released in 2025. Watch one of his recent Mix with the Masters videos, you'll understand quickly. The Spirit plugin is not from him by the way
