Does anyone know what is the name of the fast repeating sound on side start at 0:38?

Don't know if there's an official name for it (or even if there should be), but that's a straight pad sound pushed through an sequenced or synchronized autofilter.

In this case, it sounds like a tempo-synced (straight eight notes) rising sawtooth LFO adjusting the filter cutoff.

Is it a preset on something? Yeah maybe but you'll spend years finding it. But 2 minutes of programming in Dune or Hive or something like that should reproduce it.

 

I hearing a vocal quality in the sound, it could be something echoed/delayed into a Q filter. I had heard a sound like this back in the 90s on some label sampler CD. I wish I could recall it. But nonetheless: I agree with Will Kweks as that would be the easiest way to reproduce a sound like this.

 

this, my dudes, we used to call it "trance gate" back in the 2000s. It´s just that with some filter following along, doing the same thing.

I use LFO Tool from xFer Records to get that effect from any sound I put through it.

It's a bandpass filter on 1/8 rate LFO, you hear resonance going up and down as LFO closes. The sample is unknown and it doesn't matter actually, you take any pad or chord raise the resonance on bandpass filter and apply LFO and you'll hear the similar sound, adjust the slope or try highpass or lowpass to taste, just don't forget to keep the resonance up.
