I've got a Maschine MK3, and software version 2.18.4. K7 is I believe version 7.10.6.

My problem is I can't get Maschine to load K7 sounds from the library. In standalone, K7 works fine, loads the factory library, Ashlight, Noire etc etc. but inside Maschine (standalone) I just get the error "[Sound] couldn't be loaded". The weird part is that if I insert K7 as a plugin, it loads fine - and loads those sounds as well. But I don't want to do that, since that defeats the purpose of using the MK3 hardware.

I used to have Kontakt 6.6 and I thought Maschine might have been trying to load that, but I deleted the plugin and rescanned, it still does it. I've also tapped the "use latest NI plugins" check box inside Maschine.

I used to get the "couldn't be loaded" error with all my 3rd party plugins, until I realized that you have to have VST/VST3, not AU. But K7 should be a VST(3).

Any suggestions?

Anyone? It’s really bugging me

The plugin (VST3) should be fine, since it opens. It’s just the loading of a patch from the Library that doesn’t work (I need this, to load them from the hardware). This applies to all sounds / libs that use Kontakt, none load.

I tried deleting Maschine’s database (MacOS) and rescanning everything - didn’t help.

 

Tried to be smart and instead open the library in the plugin on the software, saving a preset from there - but it saves a snapshot and the same thing happens again. Tried a couple older versions too, 7.9, 7.10.5 - same thing. Trashed some preferences - same thing.

 

The same thing happens in Komplete Kontrol. Clicking a patch in the library won't open. The plugins themselves open in DAWs etc.

I'm on a Mac and the Kontakt libraries are on an external SSD, but that shouldn't matter since K7 Factory Library is on the internal SSD, and it won't work either.

Anyone?

 

Did you ever find a resolution? I am now having the EXACT same issue and cannot figure out how to fix it.
