depends to be honest, cause i personally cannot shake out the feeling that we might see something coming, given their mention of a collab between -pace and wibu- in one of the releases and given that we also already got a glimpse of protools with last year release too

Heh, I think same. I immediately thought of U-he stuff when I demoed the synth and pluggies, cause they got that magic that just sounds good as fuck. Turns out Sascha from U-he created the analogue modelling and vintage effects suite, along with Revolta synth.

 

Last year PT release ? Dude that was 3 years ago time flies

...the R2R PT '21 == 3 years ago. If you weren't lucky enough to get a "protools-first license" within the first couple of months to make that release work you were SOL. That release was useless to anyone after avid shit-canned the PT-first license.
No GONG on that one I'm afraid.

I'm confused as heck. I just can't seem to get the grip of the velocity. Is it over ? Has it not even started yet ? Are we in the middle ?

Guess I'll find out by next week.

 

Yes there is a lot speculation some says its over some says its in the middle but nobody knows the reality

 

But even with a PT First license (which was removed within a week), that Pro Tools worked terribly. It only worked if you had an HD or Ultimate license. However, subsequent Avid updates made the R2R files unusable. In fact, today if you have an Ultimate license and install R2R 2021.7 half-baked unlock, the program forces you to update. Personally, R2R's moves have been extraordinary and legendary over the years, but I never understood that PT release

 

In my opinion R2R will release Pro Tools one day. It could be tomorrow, in a week or in years. In more than a decade this extraordinary GOAT Team has released all the DAWs available on user audio market including Sequoia, except one, Pro Tools. Its time will come sooner or later and the circle will be closed.

 

just count the smashed bugs on the windshield, and you can estimate our current velocity, if you have software to track amount of coverage as well as speed of coverage you can estimate direction, acceleration and declilne in overall insect population by time and temperature, which makes for interesting chatting with the other passengers in this vehicle, until we arrive at our final destination, or at least the next stop.

consider it like a concept car: it might have not been completely good, but with that it was shown that avid was not really safe and, in the long run, it is a matter or time until you see the final product (kinda like what happens with the playstation hacks. this is why my mention of pace and wibu still plays, cause that might have been the remaining part to complete the puzzle (since, at this point, R2R probably has a way to completely replace the ilok side)

 

In addition to that, R2R did an attempt on PT so they changed or added extra layers of protection, PT can't continue adding layers infinitely and adding more and more bloats, this will annoy legit users and degrade their UX, this reminded me of how acustica was adding bloats that sometimes twice or three times the size of the actual plugin, despite all that, it was defeated by R2R and exposed Giancarlo even to its actual legit users, i have faith on R2R, sooner or later PT will be defeated by K.O.

 

The Witches has developed their own art for inter-constellation navigation, if you can feel the intensity of celestial movements, so you'll know when & how to look up to the skys. We'll go to sleep under the snow with a deep & peacefull smile knowing that the artists finally has their swords.
