This is not a request but just an observation of the new rack in kontakt 8 from Native Instrument's videos.
It seems the browser wallpapers will be the way to go once K8 becomes mainstream.

I think until the dust settles we will not know, but this would mean that the switchable interface will no longer be available? - so I guess we need to find out if the rack view has been disabled when someone does a complete investigation. If anyone has tried creating an image for the non-rack view (I have) it is quite convoluted. It is possible Bob Dule will invent a tool that allows simple saves.

Anyone know how to add Browser wallpapers and wallpapers above the preset tab. For stuff like Tines Duo, there's a Blue custom thing above Presets Browser on the left. A lot of my stuff has no Browser wallpaper nor the Strip above Presets.

 

There's a classic view for the older rack. Just tested it. It also seems to be snappier than K7

 

Thanks for the information. That will make many people more at ease.

 

I haven't tried it yet, but I'm reading that there should be issues in recognizing some libraries (visible in K7 but not recognized in the new K8)... We'll learn more in the next days whenever more people will use it. Anyway I'll wait for the portable version (hoping it will appear).

 

Yes , that's exactly my problem...
Kontact 8 also displays libraries in the old view that are not displayed in the new view.
