Been using Atmosphere then Omnisphere for over a decade and NEVER experienced any "time-bombs" with ANY version. But then NONE of my production machines has EVER seen the internet. They do not even contain a network interface of any sort to do so. Further, I don't believe I have ever encountered a time-bomb of any sort with any software before.

The thing of it is when you internet connect machines with production warez on them all it takes, in some cases, is a momentary connection (mere seconds) just long enough for the phone-home connection to occur (completely unannounced and in the background) and some file or unknown patch can be downloaded that disables a target app for good. The only thing one can do at that point as a last ditch effort is use a grep-like search tool that hunts down every instance of keyword (the dev/company name, app name, etc) in a file name or file contents and delete those files. Short of that since you never can really tell what the dev has done to kill the app remotely the only course of action left is to completely full surface erase ALL storage devices on said machine and rebuild the OS from ground zero. Unless one wishes to experience a repeat of the same behavior DO NOT EVER reconnect that machine to the internet.

There really was a problem with muted notes.

    Changelog v2.0.3
    - Resolved an issue where MODO BASS 2 would stop producing sound.
    - General reliability improvements.

or disable networking in windows system or remove wireless module and / or network card. Not possible on motherboards with built in cat5 so disable drivers/ or remove them altogether. Computers are cheap, get a cheap laptop for internet/email, keep your daw off line always..

Strictly speaking, a timebomb and a call home may be the same.
Call home is an access to a server. This may be done immediately right after the start of a protected software or later.
Timebomb is a check of license validity which is made on a deferred basis, sometimes weeks or months after the first start. With or without internet.
So they may be the same. Just delayed access to a server.

Or just go http get a freshly updated blacklist even. If your firewall is set to alert mode, you can sometimes see things try to access the internet at seemingly random points in time. All the phrase "timebomb" really should imply is it works now and does not later. The rest is just the method to arrive at that outcome.

No, I don't equal them. "They may be the same" and "They are the same/equal" mean different things.

i say they can be the same but dont have to be always the same.
a overloud home call checking license instantly is not a uhe timebomb triggered by altered code or other stuff with no www involved .its def not the same to me .

    EDIT
the boundaries are fluid , i agree on .

Could you please explain the procedure (preset, clicked buttons, playing style, etc.) to create the "bug"?
Or you got it immediately after opening vst?

Edit: my bad, I saw the first post, after 30 mins.

    We'll check.
