Brazilian singer Sérgio Mendes has died at the age of 83 in his hometown of Los Angeles. The bossa nova musician became famous for his hit Mas Que Nada.
Mendes performed at sold-out concerts in Paris, London and Barcelona last November. Since then, his family says, he has increasingly struggled with health problems as a result of a corona infection.
