I installed Live 12 recently and saved the default set. I have installed Live 11 and 10 as well. When I open Live 11 it indicates a problem with the default set saved in Live 12. Live 10 opens with its default set without any issues. So Live 10 keeps its default set in its location separately from Live 11 and 12's locations. Live 11 and 12 share their location and use the same default set. Can I change Live 11's location of the default set so as not to interact with Live 12?

 

I don't use Live much but I noticed my default set is saved in my user Library, maybe you can set your user library to different locations for 11 and 12?

 

or merly re-save youre default-template and naming it v11 or whatever.

 

@reliefsan Ableton saves the default set as Untitled whatever name I give. I can save a set as a V11 or V12 and then set it as a default (right-click in the Live's Browser)

 

Right, my mistake youre right.
what i did was saved my default template as a "template" in the "templates" folder and named it "newSupertemplate_v12"

i use different templates though, depends on the task. my default is a "barebone" version with just a few things setup and ready to go

 

My workaround is to save a default set in Live 11. But thanks to your clues I discovered Live’s browser right-click and make as default for any project BTW Live 10 has a different path for its default project and opens it without any problems.
