Hello everyone, I am reassembling my studio and I have got the Waves plugins, I dedicate myself to Rap 100x100, I would like not to have to install all the amount of compressors, equalizers and others someone learned who is dedicated to rap who knows how to guide me or make me a list of the essentials, so that the beats sound good, the voices sound good, and improve mixing and mastering. I don't ask for more. I use logic pro x with the native and I usually defend myself well, it is more than anything to "Professionalize" my sound a little more and have the right tools without having to go to any studio to record, since I have some knowledge and I make my own beats.

    Thank you in advance.

    Greetings to everyone.

PS: I don't know if the message goes in this thread if it's not, sorry.

Waves is seriously a ton of stuff to install for an artist/producer. You won't need 95 out of a hundred of them. They take up way too much space on your SSD.

    I would suggest you get:

the Fabfilter Everything bundle. It's not 1 million plugins. You could do most of your mixing with just those, if you wanted. But they are also great to learn with because everyone knows them.

The Nuro bundle which was just released yesterday or the day before. Nice for vocals and X-Pitch is very nice even on instrument samples.

Valhalla Everything bundle, specifically for the Vintage Verb reverb but there are other good ones.

Obviously Antares Autotune 11, but there are many other Antares vocals related plugins released for Mac by VR.

You want a few clippers. I would start with Kazrog KClip 3 and Sir Audio Standard Clip. There are many others.

The Cradle Bundle. Main Reason is for The God Particle. But there are some other plugs in there which are ok too.

XLN Addictive Effects bundle for RC-20 and DS-=10 plugins.

Look at the Plugin Alliance bundles which were released for Mac in June and some newer update versions. There are many useful plugins that easily replace stuff you would use from Waves.

Try the plugin Musik Hack Master Plan. It would be good for making demo tracks sound more finished quickly. Take it off before you do final mixes and use something else.

DMG everything bundle. I am reluctant to mention this one, because some releases will timebomb.

Izotope RX and Ozone for audio repair and mix/master functions.

You will easily find all of them for Mac. Use Little Snitch or Lulu firewall to block everything to prevent outbound "home calling". Install just the AU/Component format plugins if you are only going to use them in Logic. It cannot use VST format plugins.

    that's a very personal question.
but their Renaissance bundle covers a lot of the basics, in a lot of production styles.

oh, I read it more as a question of "i don't want to install waves", instead of selectively installing from the waves bundles. If you collaborate with anyone, they will invariably put stuff you did not install into the project. I would always just install everything and then clean up the menus in Logic Plugin Manager by unchecking "use" for everything extra, and all the mono copies.

Muchas gracias. :guiño:

    Sorry! XD

First of all, thanks to both of you for responding. The point is not to install Waves, but to install only what is necessary for that, which is what I do, Rap, which is mixing, mastering and recording vocals, since I make the beats myself and all that. It would be a kind of basic resources without more, and not having to install the entire Waves package. I'm going to take a look at the ones you mentioned. Thank you so much.
