For reference, this is visually how small the room is. These are KRK Rokit 8 speakers on stands in the corners of the room and the phone taking the photo is up against the back wall from the speakers.

The intent is for desk to be along middle wall, DJ decks/mini booth on right wall, and my 88 key piano along the left wall.

The tiny notch you can see on the left is a window sill for a small window in the back left corner of the room.

So, I took the punt on the iLoud Micro and picked them up this evening and got them for £90.

All I have to say is....the hype is real!

These things defy all sense and logic. They are loud and have a bass response that is at least in the ball park, if not virtually the same as my KRK Rokit 8 and Behringer Truth B2031, both being 8" speakers. I even tried some bass heavy techno and the sub rolling basses and rumbles are just as present as in my 8" speakers.

Of those who said they are no good or that they're not worth recommending, the only conclusion I can come to justify this train of thought so far is that you have not actually heard them yourself in person?!

My girlfriend has zero interest in music production or audio gear, but my mind is so blown by these things that I had to just offload on her for half an hour about how I don't understand how these are doing this. The only way I could explain to her is that they are defying all logic and physics in terms of how good these should be based on speaker sizes and how much bass they should have (or should be lacking) compared to what is actually happening and coming out of them.

Having used them for about an hour, I have to say that I would wholeheartedly recommend these to anyone with a home studio wanting a decent set of monitoring and DJing speakers!

Now there's more space for hardware synths

EDIT: Oops, never mind my interruption, I was comparing the Micro's with the MTM MKII, which are a newer model and double the price...

Glad you found some monitors you're enjoying! :)
