...so, does anyone of you know if the new Core i7/i9 and their correspondent mobos are being delivered to the distributors already fixed?, there's a date to wait for it? Thx for your valuable time.

that would be a question for your distributor, all our crystal balls are cloudy right now.
New cpu should have a new product code to indicate it doesn't suffer from the old problems. Check with Intel etc..

Or check periodically Google Finance: As soon as Intel's share price crosses the $200 threshold, you can be sure that all CPUs have been fixed...

I have the i7-13700, no K. I gather from most of these comments that it is the "K" version that is causing problems..??
So far (4 months) so good.

A must-read, very interesting and detailed article about CPU Instability Issues by Puget Systems.

IBM dropped consumer market (to Lenovo) 20 years ago but I still don't see any Apple-based machine in serverfarms (except their own, of course)...

IBM may be ... but X64 architecture is equipping ALMOST all computers in the world.
And NO, i'm not going to replace my computers with those crappy "no workflow" tablets.

Apple whole market is around 15%. And so their Apple Silicon is less than 15% on personal computers. And totally inexistant in server world.

ppl are talking about X64 demise ... since the beginning.
NO ONE is going to replace those trillions programs made on x86/x64 by simply snapping their fingers.

Computers are not ideology driven ... unlike so called "social progress".

Yeah, it's AMD who invented x64 though, not Intel.

The point wasn't that x64 is going away or that Intel is going to collapse (Western governments won't allow it), the point is that Intel is falling behind and might lose its status as a tech leader for good (= IBMification) if the next couple products aren't serious improvements.

It's not the first time Intel has stumbled (Arc = 4th GPU architecture restart, IA64, mobile, modems, Netburst, Kaby Lake++++, 10nm++++, ...), but it's the first time Intel hasn't managed to keep up with its mess build-up in between setbacks (fab process still wonky, architecture still weak, power efficiency still bad, instruction set mess (AVX-512), no competitive AI products, ...).

Intel has been the "bang for buck" CPU option in the consumer market for a while now. And now it's also become the "budget option" in the server space. As for their GPUs... little Timmy's gonna cry big spoiled-brat-tears if he finds Intel Arc under the Christmas tree instead of Nvidia - a fate worse than getting gifted last year's FIFA.

Market share is irrelevant for making money. Apple has market and mind share where it matters (rich countries) - it's the best way to become the most valuable company on the planet - ignore the paupers, go for the people who have money.
