Beautiful pieces of gear, I let go off my Micro years ago, because as much as I love it the hassle of actually wiring one up and using it overcame the itch.

I'm pretty sure the editor would still run on modern systems though. Probably needs a loopback driver to interface with the emulator, if such were to exist.

 

And you may devote some time to learning the synth and patching it yourself and coming up with your own personal library too.

Yea if you dont want to share them no one wants to hear what a "shitload" of banks you possess, but its more likely a literal shitload imo so nothing lost, as if having banks would make a new emulation any more fun.

I went away for a year or so and suddenly there are not 1 but 5 emulations?! This is really special stuff and its progressing like crazy

As someone noted on the first page, the real gem would be the nordlead1 emulated, as it has the grittiest coolest sound imo. But that processor and sound engine is totally different to the virus/NL2 stuff so its not going to happen. Maybe in the distant future someone who is smart enough to create such emulations gives it their best shot

 

Thank you for the mute, trust me, the feeling is extremely mutual.. So I spent over a decade making my own patches myself and Im just supposed to hand them over to some nobody who grew up thinking the internet means everyone gets everything for free? Did I see an offer anywhere or just a comment? Perhaps you need some reading comprehension while you're at it. Real life doesn't work like that, you should try stepping away from the computer for awhile and go participate in it..

I am really excited about this. I almost wish I hadn't found out about it ahead of time. Now I am checking every day.

I have one request comment about all of the US instruments [I am sure there is a good reason for it] but I wish there was a midi learn for the controls. Other than that, It is a dream to have access to these sounds virtually again. I am having a blast with these instruments. Thank you Usual Suspects.

I agree with the poster above that said the Nord 1 and 2 sounded better than the subsequent models. The earlier ones were gritty and rough edged. They crackled with virtual electricity. The later ones got more refined and "digital" sounding to my ears. I think it was the addition of the effects. I liked the purity of the first ones.

 

They emu the hw..the hw didn't have Midi learn either
But you can do it yourself...for virus get the midi cc list and programm your template it works
For the Waldorfs it also works but the Knobs are not moving don't ask me why...I take an Cc to Automation m4l for it and then the knobs moving yes big work but better than nothing..

"accuracy of emulation" is not a very good reason to leave out Midi Learn from a plugin in 2024. But if you want to access the parameters and do not feel like digging around in the Midi Implementation; you can use any various Midi FX plugins in front of the synth plugin.

Seqund is really nice for this. You can draw a lane of automation, and then just change the CC parameter you want it sending the messages to. So on the grid you can draw in all the stepped parameter values fluidly, and with no audible effect when the CC # is changed. If you do not know the CC number for the parameter you want to automate, you can just keep changing the CC# it is sending the data on. The nice thing is there is no click when that value is changed because it is not a button. You can just scroll up through the #s smoothly with mouse.

 

I wonder why Novation A and K-Station are not announced

 

I want to use the ones already released, but even with the ROMs, no sound (the Plugin doesn't load anything).
And yes, they are in the same folder as the plugin.
