So I have this track I'm re-mastering, there's just too much colorization on it. Are there any helpful plugins to filter this saturation?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

 

That's a tough one. Some form of a de-harsh magic box might do it (say, Soothe) but what you really want them to do is send you a version without that applied to it if possible.

 

Hello, thank you for the response. I did some research into the topic and the conclusion was, as you stated, once those harmonics are applied there's no way to undo that. I used Soothe and it sounds less dense than before. Results are acceptable so I'll leave it there.

On another note, do you happen to know any plugins that would scrape some frequencies from the file ? Can bitcrush plugins do that ?

 

ok just throwing in an idea. maybe a smart de-noiser could clean a little?

im not sure if i got the question right, but any EQ would do that?

 

Put it through RipX or Spectral Layers, take the generated stems and mix it together back again. That sometimes can clean up the result. Maybe work with a Zynaptiq-plugin on single stems. Unchirp or deverberation or similar.

 

Zynaptiq Unfilter for additional cleanup or Airwindows Spiral (negative values) for desaturation.
