That toilet and the Nag Champa was high tech. Before that we'd go to "The Shitting Field" which was just a patch of flat dirt about 20 x 30 feet and there you'd squat, burn the toilet paper right away and within three days the dung beetles and whatnot would make your "deposit" disappear. In the winter it sucked when it rained and was chilly willy upcountry. An outhouse would have been luxurious and something like the Taj Mahal. Thank goodness I don't remember having diarrhoea as there was no running water anywhere near enough to wash off yur feet and ankles!

Glad the site is back and this post should definitely be the last as it too was a shitty thing when the site went down
