The site is not working properly, or if it is what I can see after modifying my system information and potentially creating a potential issue... is that no real new posts are updating, content has withered and is lacking something. Maybe contributors have gotten bored, im not sure.

 

The site is the site. It works as properly as it always has in the past. There's no issue created, "potentially" or otherwise by modifying your hosts file with a static address. It will most likely cut your load time of the site down by half...

As far as the content goes, I am in full agreement. Apple stuff seems to still be getting out there, but the [WIN] side where there is the most demand, seems to be getting more desolate by the day. What [win] stuff that does trickle through are in a lot of cases broken bits of inconsequential flotsam. Important to note that our beloved R2R witches on the [win] side have not released anything since 7/14. Hope they are all doing ok.

Loading new releases has been wonky for a week or 2. I have to close the browser window and open a new one (not just refresh) it works.

How many browsers do you have installed?, none of your browsers lets you open those links? The site is working fine 100%, if you've made modifications to access to the site when it hadn't the correspondent DNS assigned, you have got to revert those changes. That wink could be a security item of your browser blocking you. Check your time & date, also.

You should clean temp files, reset winsock & clear DNS too.

 

Here with Windows 10 and it still doesn't work normally like before. If I modify the host file I can access, I have already restarted the modem, tried to clean cache, etc. I have read the thread and I am not able to. On Android I can access via data but not via WiFi either, outside the house I can access without problem both via WiFi and data. What could I try to do? Thanks.

Also remember: For successfully changing the HOSTS file you need to start your editor as admin.

Dude, like 35 years ago when I was on Maui we had a toilet on top a 5 foot hole dug underneath because there was no septic on the land I was living. We threw powdered lime over our poop when done and burned Nag Champa when sitting and shitting to help neutralize the stink. Still until today I can't burn Nag Champa and when I smell it anywhere I'm back sitting on that shitter under the Eucalyptus trees. Buddha didn't just fart, he shit his pants and it's running down his leg and onto the floor.

 

So you're sayin, even in paradise, people take a massive? When my parents built their 2nd house, we rented a farm where my mum grew up out in the country. It had an outhouse, I remember sharing it in the summer with wasps and bees and a sears catalog..
Fortunately the house was built out enough we could move in before winter, in summer the breeze between the siding boards on that outhouse was pleasant (also it didn't have electricity in the outhouse, so that was the lighting in daytime), but In winter I'm sure it would have been chilling.. I was about 5 years old back then, still remember it... some Nag Champa would have been a good thing...
