Light version of Kontakt Libraries

How to lower the size of Kontakt libraries? For example Spitfire Audio Spitfire Symphony Orchestra has a crazy size of 320 GB that is unnecessarily requires high download time and disk volume. If it would be possible that condensed version of such libraries to be uploaded alongside the main one, lots of problems would be solved. Is there any tool to decrease their sizes?

WavPack is great for compressing audio files without quality loss. Could this format be used with Kontakt?

Most Kontakt libraries are already compressed to NCW, so unless the benefit is massive compared to those then I'm guessing given NI's lack of enthusiasm for upgrading their platforms it's not going to happen.

Nope. I'm not aware of any size/perf comparisons between say FLAC, NCW, and WavPack, but I'm guessing that NCW is quite close to the sweet spot between size on disk and decompression time.

All of these are lossless and will be 1:1 with the original WAV.

Yeah, they've dropped a shitloads of import options off Kontakt, it used to load Soundfonts and samples in various formats (Akai, E-mu etc.), but as it is now, I'm not seeing them adding anything new, unless it really brings a lot to the table.

I'm not a Halion expert, but nowhere I can see it supporting anything more than Kontakt filewise, but it still loads old sample CDs though.
