Main site on line, for now.

The magic line was provided by @Bulgroz in May 31 of the current year, so all credits to him. This was the post; Main Site Died?

There's a very easy way to do the main stuff for acces to the main site once is down, through three very simple .bats executed as Admin. I leave them here along with their *Admin ready* shortcuts. The .bats are Inside the folder *SecurAUDiOZ* which must be placed in the C partition, the shortcuts could be placed wherever you want, I suggest to place them in your Desktop. If our main home is again a DNS's orphan you just make double click on the *ADMINHOST* shortcut, once hosts is open you write (or copy/paste);

Now close & save hosts.

The second shortcut to execute is *WinSockRes*, & then *Clear DNS*.

Once The Source has its DNS again, online as usual, you can leave there the magic line, but you can go again on *ADMINHOST* & add a # symbol at the beggining of the line in order to neutralize the access in private server mode, close & save hosts, then execute *WinSockRes* & *Clear DNS*. Leaving the line neutralized you can return to hosts & delete the # in case agent Smith goes bad again..., instead to be writing and deleting the whole line from time to time. I'm a sick of time, that's why I try to spend some time tryin' to save future time

Why back to normal navigation to the main site?; when we access home as in private mode VPN must be disabled or modified to let main site to "see you" (if you use a VPN), the same about alternative DNSs which wont let you in (instead the auto DNS, those that your ISP provides). So the *common* access to the site has potential benefits than the emergency door.

Yep, drama is over.

 

It came back and now its gone again.

 

The site is back up and running so not sure why you disagreed with me. For those who are still having problems and have messed with their hosts file is probably to change your hosts files back and clear your cache and try again. BTW in UK so may possibly make a difference but shouldn't.

well its not rocketscience to enter some txt in hosts and change DNS browsersetting to number servers

personally it's chinese to me. so.. i think that many other people don't know either. not everyone has computer knowledge. very often we just use the computer as it is already configured. we have to think about muggles too..

Turns out I forgot that I added the direct IP to my hosts file. Mystery solved.

Gonna turn off the adblocker until this thing is resolved. I imagine traffic tanked.
