For macOS users :

In Terminal:
1) sudo nano /private/etc/hosts
2) Add line "172.67.174.87 audioz.download"
3) Press key ^O to save
4) Press key ^X to exit
5) sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder

 

this works on 10.15 Catalina and newer
older systems from 10.11 El Capitan to 10.14 Mojave can use this instead:

sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder

 

On Windows in addition to adding the ip to the hosts file you might have to open a console (or run) and type "ipconfig /flushdns" to reset the DNS cache.

 

Guys, we have to be patient IMO. Forget about these accesses with hosts and other stuff. We simply need to wait the time necessary for the sister site to be restored as before. If this does not happen, it means that we can consider sister site definitively dead.

some VPNs are blacklisted too in case you're using one

 

I found an elegant solution for android.
On F-Droid you get a 600kb small adblocker that can do hostnname resolving:
PersonalDNSFilter.
It works by adding a local vpn and providing a local dns server.
You can add additional hosts in advanced settings. Add the line:
>audioz.download 172.67.174.87

That's fine but didn't resolve two big problems:

1. No way to access the website with a smartphone without resorting to complicated or dangerous tricks. This is a HUGE problem.

2. How will future newcomers know that they can access the site, since all of them don't even know that the site is still alive? More: the vast majority of them doesn't know what an "hosts" file is.

It's now working for me in the UK. Appears to be normal. Thanks to everyone involved.

 

having the site slightly cloaked in affect, maybe keeps it more secure in the long run I suppose.
