install HostsFileEditorSetup-1.2.0.msi

After install

To Enter a site in the hostfile
insert details in each columm as per image below
goto file
save

To Block a site uncheck the tick in the box
go to file
save

use the same link you would normally use in your browser to access the sister site after you complete the host file edit

Domain still expried, accessing the site via direct-IP does not work either.

Seems to me somebody from the Admin-Team forgot a few important things before flying off on vacation...

 

try the program host file editor and insert details in each columm as per image then save the host file before exiting the program
use the same link you would normally use in your browser to access the sister site after you complete the host file edit

If the browser is open, please restart it after changing the host file (and flushing the DNS cache)!
I have edited my host file many times, so I know what to do. But this time I forgot to restart the browser (Firefox). It took me about 5 minutes to realise why it wasn't working.

 

Not only did editing the hosts file work, it also made the site extremely responsive!! like a 40% speed increase!.

 

Audioz has been unreachable for me for a few days now, changing the hosts file didn't help and i don't want to install any other software, but i'll probably have to resign myself to installing the host editor. I'm on Windows 11
But why does this happen? Why sister site is down for so many days?

For macOS users:

In Terminal:
1) sudo nano /private/etc/hosts
2) Add line "172.67.174.87 audioz.download"
3) Press key ^O to save
4) Press key ^X to exit
5) sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
