Didn't want to scroll through all the other comments, so sorry if already mentioned. But for anyone having an issue with the "hosts" file, make sure you right click it, choose "properties", and then make sure "read-only" is not checked. That was what worked for me when I've had issues saving the file

 

I only use Android and don't have a computer online. I'm bummed to the max and hope soon this all is fixed and the problem nixed.

 

It happened me too as well regarding that issue, but I manage to fix the hosts, and it did work.

 

sorry i didnt differentiate better, i meant the dns settings i dont gone to alter , they already are , for other blocked sites , so i can visit them ...

Ok thanks, but should everything go back to how it was before? Because I access sister site via mobile devices. If the only way to access this site becomes permanently private, it means that for me and surely a big portion of sister site users will become inaccessible. I sincerely hope that our brilliant Admins work to restore normality as they have done for over a decade

 

I'm 100% certain they are doing everything they can to get things back to normal as soon as possible!

At the end, solved with the Host file trick:

"Add 172.67.174.87 audioz.download to host file to access the website for now"

PS:
1) REMEMBER TO OPEN NOTEPAD AS ADMINISTRATOR AND OVERWRITE PREVIOUS HOST FILE
2) IF IT DOESN'T WORK CLEAN THE DNS AND BROWSER CACHE AND IT SHOULD WORK

 

This should work on Windows 7 onwards:

- Press Win+X
- Select "Terminal (admin)" from the menu.
- in the terminal run:
notepad C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
- add the line (as in above posts) to the file
172.67.174.87 audioz.download
- save & quit notepad
- In the same terminal run:
ipconfig /flushdns
- restart your browser(s)

 

Not working on my end even modifying my Host file which i've checked it added the line 172.67.174.87 audioz.download

Edit: Not even working on VPN

Edit # 2: Got it working, my fault...had to delete line 127.0.0.1 checkhost.local from my Host file

Edit # 3: Please make sure you are using the correct URL https://audioz .download (remove space)

When I hit the site it says the domain registration has expired - looks like @SAiNT needs to grab his credit card and renew its registration for another year.

due to sister site being down, i have decided to officially give up on making music. How am i supposed to make anything without adding a new plugin, sample pack or tutorial every day. If not even multiple per day. Its a serious hit to my skill level, creativity, and work ethic. Im sad to say, but my relationship with music is officially over.

 

I once read on another thread that people are somehow "addicted" to the Sister Site and this thread 100% comproves it

I download as much as I can ,is events like this , they are not giving up on the other side and one day, if they put
