Hello everyone, hope you're having a beautiful day.

I want to know wich guitar sound do you prefer. Both are sampled guitars but from different brands. They're using the same articulatios, the same amp sims and playing basically the same thing.

    Thanks.

Definitely 2. Is it Shreddage? I think it's more natural, plus the first one is doing some kind of a weird thing where the attack is in the center but then the rest of the articulation pans out in stereo- it's very strange.

Hard to tell what's "better" without context. Better for what? Only thing I can say is that the Guitar test 2 sounds like it would be easier to mix.

    Ohhh, no.

It's not about which one is "better", just which one do you prefer.

Like @Djord Emer said one is not 'better' than the other? test 1 is more cleaner and centered, test 2 is more wider. But basically they sound like the same guitar (library) to me and it all depends how you're going to use it in a mix?

They're not the same library, but I totally get your point.

    Thank you for writing

not a fan of either honestly both seemed kinda lifeless and sterile but i chose number one as i didn't hate it as much as #2

my goto sim at the moment is OTTO II II II II the down tune patch with some tweaks im really digging these days mainly use EMG humbuckers in Les Pauls

I like Guitar 1 tone wise standalone, for that particular type of riff. For mixing context, it depends on how busy the other instruments are. If there's a lot of space, the Guitar 1 will give more proper vibe and would live some space for vocals. It reminds me of Tool style riff assuming the drum is clever enough to complement it, not just play the same thing over it. Guitar 2 is more for modern style busy mix with everything thrown together doing more or less the same thing which is not my preference. It will set the overall sound of the mix and not really flexible if I want to experiment. If I get a mix with that type of tone, I'd pray they give me the DI so I can reamp.

Both are gruesome. Maybe it's the programming, but sound snippets are really bad. The second seems to sound wider and more open, but that can be done with a little bit of plugins to the first one too.

Neither. Both needs more mids, less 150 body/mud, more bite, etc.
Also, it's more about context and what happens in the rest of the mix, but this needs some work.

    From a metalhead perspective:

Guitar 1. Clean acoustic tone only suited for jazz pussies
Guitar 2. Not enough distortion but barely acceptable for ballads

That's why I always grab a DI so I can reamp later.
