Some Kontact libraries sale pages mention you have to register with NI; is it safe to do so when using a copy of Kontact acquired from the sister site?

It should be absolutely fine. I own Komplete 14 CE and I use a copy of Kontakt acquired from the sister site so I can load in some additional libraries I cant afford atm. I have never had any issues using my legit Kontakt libraries alongside my 'other' ones.

 

If I'm not mistaken, cracked Kontakt versions bypass said verification, so you shouldn't have problems. That said, there are different modded versions of Kontakt out there that serve a slight different purpose. I find that bobdule's version is the best one for me.

 

As I understand it none of the Kontakt libraries uploaded to sites are cracked per se anyway, they're all legit bought versions that somebody simply uploaded for use with a cracked version of Kontakt. So there's really no difference- again, as far as I know.

But if any point during the install process they do try to verify- no I would not let them do that. But they shouldn't.

 

So if I understand correctly, I wouldn't need to register anything at NI, legit libraries would load fine into cracked Kontact. Thank you for your help !
