So I accidentally stumbled upon a golden oldie VST: Floorfish.

I remember back in the days of Cool Edit Pro/Adobe Audition, recording and mixing my first album making extensive use of these awesome plugins. A friend of mine recommended me Floorfish, which worked miracles on kick and snare.

Anyone remember https://www.digitalfishphones.com/ ? Pepperidge Farm remembers...

Yeah, I remember them. They're still available, no? I should install Logic Platinum, these, and rock it like it's 2000!

I used that one compressor a lot (endorphin? looks familiar), and then the normalizer was a must oftentimes because shit CPUs.

You maybe aren't using Logic anymore, but a good number of those old plugins are still in there, like PlatinumVerb, etc. You do Option key + click to insert a plugin, and the Legacy menu item appears at the bottom of your list, with them all in there.

his plugins are still downloadable: https://www.digitalfishphones.com/main.php?item=2&subItem=5

but they might be no longer work in newer versions of windows. macOS versions have been removed.

funny enough Urs is mentioned helping to compile them between 2001-2004. crazy.
nice magix hired him, made a few sick plugins for them and then got hired by Uhe. very nice.

Yeah, I haven't used Logic in a while, but when I did have a working Mac I could access the olden goldies fine (and it still loaded my old projects, so it's all good).

I mean, fire up Logic Audio Platinum 4 and some good old 32-bit thingies like these, Northpole, Tau and what have you from that time period around the millennium.

Time flies when you're not having fun, right?

As i read it, Urs and him where kinda friends back in 2001, then Urs founded Uhe, but he was still hired and doing stuff for Magix, so soon after this job ended, Urs seem to have recruted him for uhe. No i dont Urs is Uhe alone, its like 4 or 5 extra people working for uhe, along with Urs ofc. (Urs has a deep understand for creating plugins, his blogposts are just ama)
