I don't know if anybody mentioned this, but many professional singers enjoying being paid money. I would try money, if that doesn't work, try more money. if that fails, try kidnapping a close family member as leverage, but beware hostages can become annoying or get stockholm syndrome and start stalking you. all this is theoritical. I have never knowingly taken hostages or offered singers large sums of money. all my thoughts are based on human behaviour and television shows i have watched... just minecraft mr fbi....

like most things in music, its about the song. write a killer song. everybody wants to cover it. Bowie wrote "life on mars" Streisand covered it.

do you really need a name singer? why, is the song weak and you need cover to carry it? if its a good song, you need a good singer, not a "name" singer. you need someone who understands the song and brings vocal talent to bear upon your work.

A good song can make a singer a "Name". a mediocre song is not gonna be helped by Steisand or any name.

consider your motivation and what you wish to accomplish, try to get them to align.
