Can anybody recommend a good studio with engineer for tracking rock drums in Los Angeles. It's for a low budget but very important project I am working on. Also give an estimate of their current rates.

Been years since I have worked in LA. Please don't recommend studios like NRG or Westlake. Like I said, it is a low budget project.

Hey Stav. No, it has to be tracking real drums. I'm sure somebody on AS has tracked in LA recently and can suggest a studio they used.

I've used this place many times. They're known for drums (and vocals) and the rooms sound great. Very affordable too!

That's what I've run into as well toothpick. Studios I used to use are no longer around. Found a few promising studios around Pasadena, which would be very convenient. I am open to any suggestions.

Warren Huart does a lot of drum tracking and he has his own studio in LA.
    https://warrenhuart.com/
He is based in Studio City, LA

Has tracked and produced artists like The Fray, Aerosmith, James Blunt, The Thrills and many others.
Very well respected in the industry and like to help newcomers and up and coming..
He a really nice guy and I am sure if he can not help, he would recommend someone.

Friends of mine in Topanga. Jamie is a great guy, the location is stunning and although I no longer know their rates I'm gonna guess they'll find a way to work within your budget. This is Jamie playing bass.

Tai-San, dl65875, Lois Lane, Balisani, all good suggestions. ES Audio and Pangea look great! Any other suggestions for studios between Pasadena and Burbank?
