Hello, I am buying video courses and I hate being dependent on the internet or to an online service and would like to video record the courses to keep an mp4 accessible offline

any tip on a chrome extension ? Or maybe just obs ?

 

Have you tried Internet Download Manager? It works for a lot of stuff, but there are some sites that have figured out ways to prevent it from working. I own it, myself, but it's on the sister site too. I've tried one other that I can't really recommend (CocoCut). It worked when IDM wouldn't work, but it essentially recorded the stream vs. downloading the file the website was streaming to you (you even had to have the video playing, in some cases). So in my head, I wasn't really too sure how that was any different than OBS, and would rather just use OBS.

Anyways, I'd try IDM and see if that will work on the site you're using.

 

Try JDownloader 2

 

I like JDownloader2, but I also use 4kvideodownloader.
I paid something to enable something - LOL
I think it was to be able to use the 'smart downloader" to download whole playlists of videos, but I see that is enabled in the free version now.
So, there are other options on this page, but I think free is all I'd need now.
Did I pay for something that is now free? I can't see anything else I would want that's not in the free version now. (?)

But, due to my high use of Jdownlaoder2, I use that for most video.
For mp3 I still use 4Kvideodownloader, because it does directly mp3, but of course these days mp3 is a bit old-fashioned, and other formats available in JDownloader2 work on everything I need as well.

Problem is, more and more sites are adopting drm protections, and it's becoming more and more difficult to download streams, (but I don't know about OP sites).
Even the most popular drm download apps are beginning to falter.
Fck drm.

 

cococut does everything but youtube , but it works on youtube music for me oddly
