Batch audio processor for Mac? (sample rate, bit depth, etc.)

    I need to convert a bunch of samples from 24-bit to 16-bit, among other things. I used Sound Forge for this some time ago and it did a fine job. I no longer own a PC and it doesn't seem like Sound Forge is used for much these days anyway.

    I saw such an app on the sister site a few months back and I'm kicking myself for not grabbing it then. The problem is that I don't recall its name or how many months ago, so I can't search for it.

    Any help?

    MAGIX SOUND FORGE Pro Mac 3.0.0.100 is a 2018 release, works perfect on Intel. You could use VR's Wavelab, if you have SIP disabled.

    Another convertor you might want to check since you are using an Akai now is Convert With Moss. Not for batching, but for additional conversion options. https://mossgrabers.de/Software/ConvertWithMoss/ConvertWithMoss.html

    Reaper without a doubt, it has batch converter with proper multicore support and tons of options like metadata (de)embedding and such, and works well on both Windows and MacOS
    former SoundForge user here too btw :winker:
