Hello, in the latest version of Studio One (6.6 Professional.v6.6.0.Incl.Keygen-R2R) I noticed some strange UDP connections to r2rdownload site.
I've been using Studio One for several years, I've been using the sister site for many years and 90% of the plug-ins I use are from the R2R team.
The r2rdownload site is blocked in my host file and the computer is permanently offline, so I'm not worried, but curious.

funky stuff, you got it from the sister site? If so R2R is maybe chewcking if r2rdownload isnt blocked in teh hast files. I remembner that R2R was upset by r2rdownload and they required to block them . It suxxx on the other hand that perfomance is wasted by those steady pings

 

I think I understand what happens.
I tried to replicate on Virtual Box and that connection was different.
It's basically the first line of the hosts file.

 

Yep, I thought the line was added (with good reasons) but no checks. Not R2R's style

That's reassuring although still weird. But well, Windows 10 and beyond are what they are.

 

How many times do we have to go throught this?
It's because you have a "127.0.0.1 www.r2rdownload.com" in your hosts file.
The system calls itself and your localhost's name is written in your hosts file as "www.r2rdownload.com", because it works both ways.
